This policy will outline the measures and protocols we have implemented as a result of COVID-19, to ensure the safety and health of our patients and staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Our staff will be utilising PPE following the guidelines provided by our professional regulatory bodies, the UK government and Public Health England. This will include the use of face masks, nitrile or latex gloves, and plastic aprons.
Before and after all appointments, all of our equipment used in sessions will be thoroughly disinfected using high-quality disinfectant products.
Our staff will thoroughly clean their hands, including wrists and forearms, before and after your appointments. We will also provide hand sanitiser for our clients/patients to use before and after any face to face appointment.
To minimise the risk as much as possible to our patients/clients and staff, for our physiotherapy appointments we will be completing a Digital triage before confirming a face to face appointment to assess the clinical appropriateness of completing your assessment/treatments face to face. This is especially important for any individuals deemed to be at medium or high risk from COVID-19. Those in a medium or high risk category can be found at
We have also completed a COVID-19 Risk Assessment and this is reviewed regularly in line with the latest developments during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
What we ask of you
To protect our staff and patients, please do not book an appointment if you, or anyone in your household are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
We would also like to ask you to reschedule your appointment if you have:
Had exposure to anyone with suspected or diagnosed COVID-19 in last 14 days.
Worked or attended a clinic facility treating COVID-19 patients in the last 14 days.
Recently returned from a country currently on the quarantine list. If you are unsure on whether this applies to you, please visit: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-travel-corridors#history
We would like to thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
